If you’ve been considering trying out my Covert Series, this is a great week to give them a try! The first three books feature Elle Paquet, an Information Scientist (21st century term for Librarian, she likes to say) turned spy for the CIA.
Elle is in her final year of college with a Plan for her adult life after growing up feeling like the unwanted leftovers of her parents’ divorce. She’s going to go to grad school, eventually marry her college sweetheart, and establish her own family. Yet everything changes when she returns to school for her final semester. There are pictures of her boyfriend getting too friendly with a classmate. Then she finds out the CIA is funding her thesis, and they need to “accelerate her timetable to completion,” so they assign hot agent Preston Raddick to work with her. Preston isn’t just hot, he’s hot for Elle, but is he offering happily ever after or happy for right now?
Elle thinks lessons are over now that she’s graduated from college, but it turns out the life lessons are just beginning. Working for the CIA isn’t quite what she thought it would be, and a romance with Preston isn’t quite what she thought it would be, either.
Elle feels her career is on more solid footing as a newly-rated field agent for the agency, but her professional life is causing serious problems for her personal life. She decides to have a fling, and Navy SEAL Reese Beckwith seems like the perfect candidate, until Reese begins to want more than just a fling.

I posted about Jo Ann V. Glim’s book, Begotten: With Love, before. This is a GREAT gift for anyone you know who might be into family history or Ancestry.com or anything like that. Seriously. Jo Ann knows how to make family history interesting. I’ve already bought a copy for my mother, who’s a history buff. You can purchase Begotten: With Love through Jo Ann’s website and even get an autographed copy if you want!
